Meet the Founder

Dr. Treyce' Gaston-Spears is the founder of Wise Women Webinars (WWW), a strategic tool used initially in research of Black women that offered a safe place for women to be informed, come together, find healing in shared experience, confront the issues of the day, and create knowledge without judgment.
This simple idea, fueled by a passion to help Black women navigate the academic terrains, workplace, and other social environments, is the foundation for WWW. "In my research, it became apparent that the journey of Black women to success in academia is impacted by a socially perceived dual marginalization as racialized and genderized individuals." Utilizing the lens of intersectionality as a means of empowerment, Black women share their lived experiences, helping each other combat barriers to success.
Wise Women Webinars is on course to swiftly become the "gold standard" for organizations and institutions that consider diversity, equity, inclusion, mental health, and well-being a priority.
Wise Woman Webinars benefits women of color as a unique and life-changing support system. Our goal is to continue to bring information about the changing landscape of academia, which is particularly important with the rise of a less supportive government that seeks to dismantle DEI initiatives and rewrite history to eliminate the Black experience and other initiatives that support the disenfranchised. We will provide content and services that are strategic, therapeutic, healing, and helpful. Our in-person Institutes will become a highlight of the academic experience. Additionally, we strive to address the needs of Black women and women of color in a way that unites, uplifts, and inspires individuals as they make their journey to success and beyond.
Congratulations on your journey and your desire to become engaged in our community! Our approach is rooted in quality, integrity, and excellence and we know that you will benefit from the support provided. Be sure to let us know when something we have shared supports you in some way.
